1& now behold it came to pass that all the people of the land did hear these sayings & did witness of it & after these sayings there was silence in the land for the space of many

2hours so great was the astonishment of the people that they did cease lamenting & howling for the loss of their kindreds which had been slain therefore there was silence in all the land for the space of many hours

10& the earth did cleave together again that it stood & the mourning & the weep ing & the wailing of the people which were spared alive did cease & their mourning was turned into joy & their lamentations into the praise & the thanks giveing unto the Lord Jesus Christ their Redeemer

14& now whoso readeth let him under stand he that hath the Scriptures let him search them & see & behold if all these dea ths & destructions by fire & by smoke & by tempests & by whirlwinds & by the opening of the earth to receive them & all these things is not unto the fulfilling of the prophecies of many of the holy prophets

18& it came to pass that in the ending of the thirty & fourth year behold I will shew unto you that the people of Nephi which were spared & also they which had been called Lamanites which had been spared did have great favours shewn unto them & great blessings poured out upon their heads inso much that soon after the assension of Christ in to Heaven he did truly manifest himself unto them

19shewing his body unto them & ministering unto them & an account of his min istry shall be given hereafter therefore for this time I make an end of my sayings Chapter——[]—Jesus Christ sheweth himself unto people of Nephi as the multitude were gathered together in the land Bountiful & did minister unto them— And on this wise did he shew himself unto them——
